DNR: Do Not Reciprocate is a yandere romance visual novel centered on Niko, a sickly man admitted to the hospital once again. Instead of focusing on combat or exploration, the game builds its story around three doctors who take a personal interest in him: Sage, a neurologist; Amia, a cardiologist; and Robin, an optometrist. Their professional care slowly becomes something far more possessive.
The hospital setting gives the romance a darker edge because Niko depends on the same people who may become dangerously obsessed with him. If you enjoy choice-driven stories with yandere characters and multiple outcomes, start a playthrough and see where your answers lead.
HOW YOUR CHOICES SHAPE NIKO'S STORY
The story begins with a prologue that introduces Niko to all three doctors in sequence. During each examination, dialogue choices can affect which doctor gets the opportunity to begin a dedicated route. Avoiding one doctor does not necessarily remove them from the story, so pay attention to how Niko responds during each conversation.
Once a route starts in DNR: Do Not Reciprocate, it runs through four chapters with several decision points. The game quietly tracks two important values: affection and obsession. Neither appears as a normal on-screen meter, so choices must be considered rather than treated like a visible score system.
Reach All Six Endings
Each doctor has two possible outcomes, giving the game six endings in total. Your decisions throughout a route determine whether the relationship develops toward affection or obsession. Replaying routes with different answers is therefore the main way to uncover the complete story.
A single route is relatively short, while the full game contains more than 17,000 words and seven unique CGs, giving repeat playthroughs a clear purpose.
