BUILD YOUR OWN PHYSICS SANDBOX

People Playground is a 2D physics sandbox game built around freeform experimentation rather than a fixed story or mission list. Instead of controlling a hero through levels, you arrange ragdolls, weapons, machines, and other objects inside an open testing space. Electricity, heat, weight, and other physical properties can interact in unexpected ways, giving each setup its own outcome. If you enjoy building strange experiments and discovering what happens next, this game gives you plenty of room to create.

MASTER THE PEOPLE PLAYGROUND SANDBOX

Start by placing objects into the sandbox and arranging them however you want. There is no required path to follow, so your main goal is to create scenarios, test physical interactions, and refine your ideas.

  • Place and manipulate objects: Spawn ragdolls, tools, weapons, machines, and other items, then position them around the scene.
  • Experiment with physics: Test how weight, force, sharpness, heat, and other properties affect different objects.
  • Connect systems: Build mechanisms that use electricity or moving parts. Simple components can become larger machines when you connect them carefully.
  • Create chain reactions: Combine several objects and activate your setup to see how one event affects everything around it.
  • Build your own machines: Construct vehicles, automated devices, doors, shields, bases, and other contraptions instead of relying only on ready-made objects.
  • Adjust and test again: If a machine fails or produces an unexpected result, change its parts or positioning and run another experiment.

Controls

  • Mouse – Select, place, move, and interact with objects
  • Mouse Wheel – Zoom the view
  • Keyboard shortcuts – Perform context-dependent actions and manage sandbox functions

A Sandbox Without A Fixed Ending

The biggest difference is the lack of a conventional win condition. You do not need to clear stages or defeat a final boss. Steam Workshop support also allows players to expand the sandbox with community-made mods and additional content, giving creative experiments even more possibilities.
