What begins as a simple rescue turns into an unsettling relationship where trust becomes harder to judge. WHAT HAPPENS AFTER YOU MEET MYCHAEL?
The story begins when the protagonist fails to find their cat around the neighborhood and decides to search in the nearby forest. Deeper inside, they discover the cat's collar and a strange mushroom-like circle before losing consciousness. They later wake inside a secluded cabin, where they meet Mychael.
From there, your choices shape how the story develops:
- Talk and make decisions: Read conversations with Mychael and choose how the protagonist responds to unfamiliar situations. Some answers only change dialogue, while others can send the story toward a different ending.
- Learn more about the mystery: Details about the forest, the cabin, the missing cat, and Mychael are revealed gradually. Paying attention to conversations can help you understand what is really happening.
- Reach different endings: Mushroom Oasis uses branching choices to create several outcomes. A careless response can lead to a Bad Ending, while other choices keep the main story moving forward.
The Choices Matter In Different Ways
Not every decision has the same weight. Some choices simply produce a different reaction or short scene, while specific decisions can determine which ending you reach. This gives replaying a purpose because you can return to earlier choices and test another path.
The current story covers Day 1 through Day 3, with multiple Bad Endings and a Neutral/Story Progression route. The game is still in development, so the story can expand in future updates.
