Meowdoku
Meowdoku is a casual logic and brain-teaser puzzle that replaces traditional number grids with colorful regions and cute cats. Instead of filling cells with digits, you must work out where each cat belongs while respecting several placement rules.
The idea is simple to learn, but the board demands careful observation. Each colored region needs one cat, while rows, columns, and nearby cells impose extra limits. That combination gives Meowdoku its own identity among relaxing grid puzzles.
SOLVE THE BOARD ONE CLUE AT A TIME
Every Meowdoku level starts with a board divided into colored territories. Your task is to complete the layout by finding legal positions for all cats. There is no need for mathematical calculations; progress comes from removing impossible choices and spotting positions that are forced by the rules.
- Fill every region: Place exactly one cat inside each colored area. A region with fewer possible cells can provide a useful starting point.
- Watch rows and columns: Once a cat occupies a row or column, other cats cannot use that same line. This quickly reduces the number of available positions.
- Keep cats apart: Two cats cannot touch, including at diagonal corners. A single placement can therefore rule out several nearby cells.
- Protect your hearts: Incorrect placements cost hearts, so random guessing is a poor strategy. Study the remaining candidates before committing to a move.
Why The Region Rule Matters
The colored territories are more than decoration. Their shapes determine which cells remain available after rows, columns, and neighboring cats have been eliminated. Combining these restrictions is what turns a simple-looking board into a deduction chain.
Controls
- Mouse / Touch – Select a tile and place a cat
- Tap placed cat – Remove the cat when supported by the interface
- Undo – Reverse a recent move
- Restart – Reset the current puzzle
