Backrooms Craft combines block-based building with survival horror in a maze of strange rooms and endless corridors. You must collect materials, craft useful tools, and manage your basic needs while exploring an unsettling world. Unlike a simple escape game, it gives you the freedom to build a base and improve your equipment before venturing farther into danger.

HOW TO PLAY BACKROOMS CRAFT

Your main goal is to survive, improve your equipment, and explore as much of the Backrooms as possible. Begin by collecting materials from objects around you. Turn those resources into tools and workstations, then use them to access materials that basic equipment cannot handle.

  • Gather essential resources: Break furniture and other objects to obtain materials. Collect enough supplies to craft your first tools and establish a useful starting setup.
  • Craft better equipment: Build a workbench and progress from basic stone tools to stronger steel equipment. Use a furnace to process metal and unlock more crafting options.
  • Manage your survival needs: Monitor health, hunger, thirst, and sanity. Keep food, drinks, bandages, and lighting supplies ready before entering unfamiliar areas.
  • Explore carefully: Search new corridors for resources, unusual rooms, and useful discoveries. Mark your route so you have a better chance of finding your way back.

What Makes Backrooms Craft Different?

Backrooms Craft stands out by combining familiar sandbox mechanics with the uncertainty of a survival horror setting.

  • Crafting with a purpose: Resources are not just collectibles. They help you improve tools, unlock new materials, and prepare for more difficult areas.
  • A protected building zone: The yellow boundary gives you a clear place to organize essential equipment and develop your base.
  • Changing surroundings: The maze can rearrange its corridors, making route marking and navigation important parts of survival.
  • Several survival needs: Health, hunger, thirst, and sanity require you to think beyond gathering and fighting.
  • Discoveries worth recording: Strange locations, unusual entities, and environmental anomalies give exploration a purpose beyond collecting materials.
